The Emergency Services Race is back as is the infamous Fancy Dress Race! The latter is not about speed as the prize is for most outrageous costume.
Elite racers are invited to enter our Predict Your Time contest. No bike computers or stopwatches are permitted; just give us your best guesstimate!
All entrants over 12 years of age will wear a state of the art timing chip to record their accurate completion time.

We will also be holding a day at the races were we will be holding the Power Family chase

The la Poer’s (Power) of Dunhill were infamous in the 14th century, as they launched many attacks on Waterford City. In 1345 they destroyed the area around city but were counter-attacked, taken prisoner and many hanged. The remaining members of the Power clan join forces with the O’Driscoll family of Cork. This alliance would attack Waterford many times over the next 100 years, with both success and failure. After a defeat in Tramore in 1368 the castle passed to the Powers of Kilmeaden. It remained in their control until the Cromwellian attack on Dunhill and its first capture (legend of gunners and buttermilk) in 1649.

It is said that out of this house (Dunhill Castle), all the Powers of Ireland descend.

You can also enjoy the venue through lessons, competitions, parties and events.  It is a place where people can surf, eat, drink or just hang out. It is the mechanism that brings the beach lifestyle to virtually any location.

Family Fun

The FlowRider® appeals to a broad range of age groups, from kids learning to ride a wave for the very first time, to teenagers and young adults who like to rip it up and throw spray. The FlowRider provides a fun, safe platform where young and old alike can enjoy the thrill of riding a wave. The ride is most popular with teenagers as it creates a surfing wave that is challenging and exciting.
